Stud males - potential & working

Males have to be of a very high standard to become a MillDuck Stud Male.

In addition to meeting strict conformation and fleece requirements in line with our breeding program, a male has to have won Broad Ribbons (Championships) at highly competitive shows before we will have him certified and allow him to represent our MillDuck brand.

As a general rule we do not sell our males as juniors. They are usually made available once they are at least 12 months of age, are on their second fleece and have completed at least one show season. This ensures both the prospective buyer, and us as the seller, are in a better position to assess the value of the male.

All males sold for breeding purposes are guaranteed to:

pass the AAA Stud Male Certification requirements
be fertile by a specified age - conditions apply.

We are proud of the fact that others value our ‘coloured’ genetics and seek out our Stud Males. We have sold a number of stud males throughout Australia and exported to Europe, United Kingdom and New Zealand.

Name	MillDuck X-Calibur - 2022 AAA National Brown Champion This is one boy not to be missed by the astute coloured breeder. X-Calibur has great presence and excellent conformation. He demands attention. MillDuck X-Calibur is one of the first two Uluru son's to be released.

Dam:	Banksia Park QLXL Amberlee We bought Amberlee after watching her place 2nd in the Jnr M/D Fawn Class at the AAA National Show - and we are glad we did. She has introduced a great mix of highly regarded Banksia Park and Softfoot genetics into our MillDuck herd.

Fleece Stats:	2nd Fleece Stats: FD 18.5, Sd 3.8, CV 20.5, CF 99.3, CRV 48.3, Length 85 mm (11 mths growth) X-Calibur has an extremely dense and well aligned fleece which carries into his extremities. His 2nd fleece FD, in comparison to his first fleece, only increased by 0.4 - a very positive sign.

Name:	MillDuck You Betcha SOLD You Betcha is a proud young man, with "true to type" conformation. He has the "MillDuck" look and stands out in the paddock
DOB: AAA IAR: Colour	21/04/2021 251676 Whilst registered as Solid Dark Fawn - he is on the cusp of Light Brown.
Sire:	MillDuck Stringy Bark Stringy Bark, a son of MillDuck Jarrah, went to 18 shows winning 21 Broad Ribbons including Best Brown in Show and Reserve Champion Intermediate Male at the AAA National Show. There is consistency in Stringy's pedigree with his full brother MillDuck Oregon winning Best Brown in Show at the AAA Nationals for two consecutive years prior to being exported to Europe.
Dam:	MillDuck Why Not (daughter of ILR Snowmass Royal Kahuna) Why Not is also a "true to type" female who produces lovely cria. Why Not had a successful show career prior to entering our breeding program. She went to 5 shows as a junior placing every time in the highly competitive Medium/Dark Fawn female class, including Melbourne Royal.
MillDuck You Betcha's Show Results:	You Betcha's colour is on the cusp of Dark Fawn and Light Brown - hence being shown in both colour classes subject to the discretion of the steward. He has had a very successful show career as a junior through to current as an adult, having won 5 Broad Ribbons with major achievements being: - Reserve Champion Intermediate Male at the AAA Nationals - Champion Brown Male at Colourbrations - Best Medium/Dark Fawn in Show & Reserve Champion Intermediate Male at Melbourne Royal.
