MillDuck Breeding Females

Each year MillDuck release a small number of females across the following categories:

Weanlings (8-12 mths old)
Young Females (12 - 30 mths old)
Proven Breeders (3 years plus)
Show Girls (varying ages and pregnancy status)

All MillDuck females are registered with the Australian Alpaca Association (AAA) - enabling you to register their progeny (cria). On purchasing your female we will provide full details on her parentage, breeding history, mating dates, fleece statistics and animal husbandry history.

We have mentored many new entrants to the alpaca industry and will always be on the end of the phone if you have any questions or concerns. We have photos on the birthing process along with notes which we happily give to people experiencing the joy of birthing (alpacas!) for the first time. No question is a silly question - we remember what it was like when we bought our first alpacas back in 1993 ! Yes, we have been breeding alpacas in excess of 30 years - so have a wealth of experience which we are happy to share.

Females are priced taking into consideration their genetics, conformation and fleece traits, age, temperament, colour, breeding history, show record and pregnancy status.

Weanlings: (8-12 mths old) Prices for weanlings start at $1,500 (inc GST)
Young Females: (12 - 30 mths) Prices for young breeding females start at around $2,200 (inc GST)
Proven Breeders: (3+ years old) Prices for our proven breeders start at around $3,300 (inc GST)
Show Girls (varying ages) Prices start around $3,800 (inc GST) with our elite show girls in a higher price bracket

Our Proven Breeders are ideal for the person starting their alpaca journey and/or those wanting to introduce proven
MillDuck genetics into their herd. These ladies are likely to have had a successful show career (most having won Championships) but more importantly - are experienced and proven breeders having already had at least one cria. Our mature ladies (6+ years) will have had at least 3 cria - so will help you learn the birthing process.
With the mature girls - you will be able to see their progeny as in most instances the females being released have replaced themselves with the next generation of daughters.

We are happy to put together package deals (including matings) if you purchase more than one female.
All females are sold with a:

fertility guarantee
a live cria guarantee, if mated to one of our champion coloured stud males.
medical history
up to date with vaccinations and trimmed toenails.

Nothing can beat the joy of seeing a young cria born - taking its first "wobbly" steps. It still warms our hearts. We are happy to share this wonderful experience with you.

Name	MillDuck Zeeta. A proven breeder with an excellent show career. Zeeta is a proud upstanding girl with "true to type" conformation. She is a rich brown colour with black points. Both sides of her pedigree ooze proven "coloured" genetics. She had a very successful show career attending 8 shows to win 5 Broad Ribbons.

Sire:	MillDuck Trail Blazer. (SMBr) Son of renowned Softfoot Maudib ET Trail Blazer had a very successful show career winning 25 Broad Ribbons including: - Supreme Brown at the AAA National Show - Reserve Champion Adult Male at the AAA National Show - Supreme Champion Huacaya at a Regional Show.
Dam:	MillDuck Disco Queen (SBBlk) Daughter of MillDuck Manhattan (exported) Disco Queen placed every time at her 6 shows with three first placings. She placed 2nd at the AAA National Show. Being a bay black, Disco Queen was shown in both black and brown classes based on the discretion of the steward.
Pregnancy Status: Live Cria Guarantee - conditions apply	Zeeta will be sold mated to MillDuck X-Calibur (son of MillDuck Uluru). X-Calibur at the time of this posting, had won 20 Broad Ribbons. Like father, like son, both Uluru and X-Calibur have won the ultimate being the Supreme Brown at the AAA National Show. The mating to X-Calibur should produce an excellent cria. A Live Cria Guarantee will apply to the mating.
Fleece Stats: (Trim On)	Zeeta's 2nd fleece stats were: FD 22.6, Sd 4.9, CV 21.8, Lgth 80, CF 92.1. Zeeta has great density & structure with a high frequency crimp style.
Show Career:	Zeeta placed every time at her 8 shows from Junior through to Adult classes. She won five first ribbons and three second placings. Her Five Broad Ribbons were: - Champion Brown Female - twice at Melbourne Royal (as a Junior & Adult) - Reserve Champion Adult Female - twice - Best Brown.
Progeny:	Zeeta produced her first cria in November 2024. She birthed easy and has proven to be a very good mother. This brown male cria will be weaned and retained by MillDuck prior to Zeeta being released - once confirmed 60 days pregnant.
Sale Price:	Price on application. Zeeta falls within our Show Girl pricing category with the bonus of also being a proven breeder.
